Bibi Graetz: 99 points for a Tuscan Cult Hero
“This is the best Testamatta ever made”
We are pleased to offer two wines from a Tuscan star, Bibi Graetz. This wild and wonderful artist turned winemaker has produced an awesome set of wines in 2015.
James Suckling scored the 2015 Testamatta an impressive 99 points, and suggests that this vintage could hold the best wines ever produced at this estate. Testamatta is made from 100% Sangiovese in the heart of the Chianti Classico zone and the vines are over 35 years old. It is aged in French Oak for 18 months.
In addition to the Testamatta, we can offer the 2015 Soffocone di Vincigliata made from Sangiovese and a small amount of Colorino and Canaiolo. The wine is made from a single vineyard site beside the town of Fiesole overlooking Florence. This too is aged in French oak for 15-18 months.
We tasted the wines recently and believe they offer excellent value for money from a stunning vintage in the region.
Don’t delay, 2015 in Tuscany is already one of the biggest fine-wine news stories of the year and this is an offer not to be missed.
