A Perfect Duo of Burgundy from Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux

"I have to agree with Lachaux that his ‘11s are truly special…"
Allen Meadows, Burghound

Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux is always a favourite here at Armit Wines; these are wines that are undeniably excellent, offering extraordinary purity of fruit, silky textures and exquisite craftsmanship.

We are pleased to offer two wines from the Domaine that are showing especially well at this stage in their life, a pair of Nuits St Georges 1er Cru from 2011, Les Procès and Les Corvées Pagets. Both are classic examples of the Domaine’s style with heady depth, purity of fruit and a timeless elegance. Though perhaps overshadowed at the time by the 2010 vintage, the 2011s have a lovely softness allowing them to revel in their drinking window at the moment and showcase a beauty that is entirely magical.

With vines located in the middle of the slope in Nuits St Georges, the Procès is all silk and spice and elegant, deep red fruit, with incredible length on the finish. The vines for the Corvées Pagets grow in very rocky soil, infusing the wine with a graceful freshness that is perfectly balanced against the velvety fruit.

In-stock and ready to deliver now, this is a perfect duo of Burgundy to enjoy over the coming months.

We are also pleased to offer a very limited quantity of two of the Domaine’s Grand Crus from the 2011 vintage: Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, which is fresh, soundly structured and elegantly powerful, and Latricières Chambertin Grand Cru, all coiled energy, restrained beauty and exciting minerality. These are two remarkable Grand Crus showcase the power, precision and nuance of the truly superb Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux.
