Ornellaia is an irrefutably iconic and magical wine. Over the past 30 years it has become established as one of the greatest wines in the world, a First Growth of Italy. Quality across the Tenuta dell’ Ornellaia estate is such that their exemplary second wine, le Serre Nuove, has become highly sought after and collected in its own right. Many critics sight recent vintages of this wine as being of a quality that rivals, (whisper it: potentially even surpassing), early vintages of Ornellaia. As a cherry on top, we are also delighted to be offering a case of the rare and unctuous Ornus 2009.

To celebrate the unique character of each new vintage of Ornellaia, since the 2006 vintage an artist creates a work of art and a series of limited edition labels that draw inspiration from the single word chosen by the winemaker to describe the character of the new vintage. This rare collection features in a charity auction at the Guggenheim Museum in New York on 27th April in support of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation – find out more.
