FRANCE

A country like no other is synonymous with fine wine. France is a dazzling collection of terroirs, styles and price points. Too many to mention, France is home to some of the most recognisable and loved wine regions in the world. Having defined and helped shape some of the finest wine regions in the world, it is undeniable that France’s influence extends far beyond its regional boundaries. While classic regions like Bordeaux, Burgundy or Champagne, amongst others, continue to be the standard-bearer of fine wine production, the country is also rediscovering some of its lesser-known regions. The recent success of Provence, the Loire or the South West, testifies to the diversity, richness and heritage of winemaking in France.

TASTING NOTES

From an old vine parcel in Comblanchien, the nose is pure rose petal and berry Pinot fruit. Persistent red berry fruit and mineral notes continue across a very pure and medium bodied palate. Relatively delicate with a supple structure and bold intensity of fruit. Gentle oak and spice nuances round off the wine. Outstanding value for money and really classical....

TASTING NOTES

A wine of red fruits and a lithe, elegant style, this combines redcurrant and raspberry with a little white pepper and lovely silky textures. No more than mid-weight (but important to note that all Moueix wines are tasted without press wine added), the style is generally gentle and relaxed but never escaping a certain austerity and rigour running through as...
