Cristiana Tiberio has been running Agricola Tiberio since 2008, in the mountains of Abruzzo on the East coast of Italy. She is the second generation of the family which own the property. An academic chemist by training, brings scientific approach to the Estate and winemaking that has shown incredible results. Prior to taking over Tiberio, she trained in Champagne, Chablis, and the Clare Valley, which speaks volumes of the purity and precision of wines she seeks to achieve in Italy. Even before taking over, Cristiana has been influential in the region: she has pioneered the use of massal selection in Italy which has expanded the gene pool of the vineyards and greatly increased complexity of her wines. Cristiana has been instrumental in championing the return of the age-worthy and intensely mineral local grape variety Trebbiano Abruzzese.
