Domaine Girard is now run by Alain Girard. The family come from several generations of winemakers in the tiny village of Chaudoux, located a few miles northwest of the town of Sancerre and directly north of Chavignol. The Girards lovingly tend 12 hectares of vines and only the best of their production is bottled under their label. A state of the art cellar with all best the modern technology combined with traditional viticultural practices and minimum intervention in both vineyard and cellar result in a beautifully crafted Sancerre.
