La Rioja Alta has elevated the Torre de Oña estate to another level in recent years. The eponymous flagship cuvee, Torre de Oña Reserva, presents the most vivid evidence of these changes. The 2010 Reserva is delicious, deeply moreish and a wine that always seems to disappear more quickly than anticpated. It is a blend of predominantly Tempranillo with some Mazuelo to add depth, complexity as well as freshness. The result is a distinctly modern interpretation of Rioja which is fruit-focussed and pure.
It is hard to find a better quality to value ratio than this. Pair with spring lamb, barbecues and friends! Its quality and versatility (and only £15 per bottle with our limited time offer) make it the ideal house wine to have leading into spring.
