Domaine Faiveley has been making wine for seven generations since 1825. With eleven Grand Crus, twenty five Premier Crus and six monopoles in the Côte d’Or, this is one of the most prestigious vineyard owners in Burgundy. Erwan Faiveley arrived in 2007 and immediately set about making improvements and reinforcing his team. With the help of General Manager Bernard Hervet, progress has been impressive and further investment is planned including the renovation of the winery and a new grape reception area.
However, the Estate’s guiding philosophy that great wine is made in the vineyard remains unchanged, with every possible care being taken to tend the vines to produce the very finest grapes. Our tasting at the cellar is an experience we look forward to every year, not least because of the impressive range of wines which give us a unique impression of the vintage as a whole. The 2014 Faiveley reds were very impressive wines and the whites were outstanding.
