Spring Classics

Discounted price: £237 ex VAT for 6

To begin, a champagne of remarkable purity from Pierre Gimonnet et Fils, 2014 Gastronome 1er Cru, followed by a floral and elegant NV Rosé de Saignée from Champagne Geoffroy. The 2015 Batàr from the inimitable Querciabella heads up the selection of white, described by Antonio Galloni as “one of the most polished, gracious Batàrs I can remember tasting.” The selection of reds starts with the expressively floral and beautiful 2014 Barolo from Elio Grasso, moving to 2016 Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia, the “second vin” of iconic Bolgheri estate, Ornellaia. To finish, the delicately immense 2017 Vouvray Le Mont Moelleux from Domaine Huet.

Alternative Spring

Staying close to home with our English sparkling from Digby Fine English, the 2010 Vintage Reserve Brut is the elegant, yet forward way to enjoy a glass of sparkling. To the island of Sardinia, 2018 Samas is a tantalising blend of Vermentino and Chardonnay from Agricola Punica. 2018 Province Sauvignon Blanc from Astrolabe is expressive style of Marlborough Sauvignon, indicative of the region. Moving to red, 2018 Grenache from Momento is a grippy, mineral wine from South Africa. The coast of California brings us 2016 ‘Batten Down The Hatches’ Pinot Noir from Hobo Wine Company Folk Machine. Finishing with a Tokaji sweet, Chateau Dereszla 2013 Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyosis reminiscent of beeswax, honey and apricot.


Spring Sampler

To discover some gems, you might not have had the chance to taste before, start with Beaumont des Crayères NV Grande Reserve Brut. For a taste of prosecco and two styles of difference, Biancavigna NV Prosecco Frizzante and NV Cuvee 1931 Brut, Spumante Rosa are a good introduction to quality prosecco producers. Our white selection ranges from Chilean 2016 Corralillo Gewurztraminer Organic from Matetic Vineyards to 2018 Albariño from Spain’s Lagar de Cervera. Perfect for accompanying fresh seafood and creamy pasta dishes, 2017 Riesling from Domaine Boeckel is an undiscovered find. The final white in our Sampler is 2016 Durvillea Pinot Gris, all the way from Marlbourgh, NZ’s Astrolabe. Our reds selection start with a dive into Puglia and Cantele’s 2017 Telero Rosso (Negroamaro) bursts with rich fruits and continues to the iconic La Rioja Alta’s 2013 Viña Alberdi Reserva from Haro, Spain. Back in Italy, we venture to the Alto Adige for 2017 Pinot Nero ‘Turmhof’ from Tiefenbrunner and then over to Piedmont for Cantina Sociale Terre del Barolo 2017 ‘Vinum Vita Est’ Langhe Freisa. To Sauternes for a sweet, Château Doisy-Védrines 2015 ‘Petit Védrines’ is the perfect way to finish.


Spring Magnums

A magnum of champagne from Pierre Gimonnet et Fils, 2009 Fleuron 1er Cru is sure to be a hit for any occasion. If a taste of delicate, mineral prosecco is what you’re after, NV Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG Brut from Biancavigna is the perfect choice. From an icon of our portfolio, Tenuta San Guido, 2017 Le Difese is a stand-out wine from Bolgheri’s finest. For an intese, warm and spicy red, 2015 Barolo from Giacomo Fenocchio is the perfect accompaniment for red meats and rich cheeses. Heading back to Tuscany, Querciabella’s 2015 Mongrana Organic is a wine full of red cherry, spices and an earthy nose which will appeal to any wine lover. The final magnum to complete the sextet is the 2009 Viña Ardanza from one of the top wineries in Rioja, La Rioja Alta. A smooth red wine, abundant with sweet cherry, blackcurrant and vanilla
