René Rostaing is one of the greatest producers in the Côte Rôtie. He started with a holding of just 1.5 hectares in the Côte Blonde and La Landonne but his holdings are over four times that size now. His approach is more modern than other producers in the Côte Rôtie and he runs an impressive cellar but he prefers to age his wine in older oak casks to promote fruit expression and whole bunch presses according to the cuvée with the highest proportion in La Landonne.
