Established in 2005, Pietradolce stretches over 11 hectares of high-altitude vineyards on Etna. At the heart of the winery is an unashamed passion for their land and the utmost respect for the autochthonous grape varieties Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Carricante. Etna’s volcanic soils and some old, pre-phylloxera vines give birth to some of the most vibrant wines in Sicily. Pietradolce’s range is crafted with a real sense of terroir, incredible purity, concentration and longevity.
A unique wine from pre-phylloxera, 100 year old Nerello Mascalese, whose yields are minute and produce less than half a bottle of wine per vine. The result is an extraordinary achievement.
