The world-famous Chardonnay is at home here since it takes its name from an ancient village in the Mâconnais region. Between the plain of the Saône and the Beaujolais heights, the siliceous granite soils here allow the vines to flourish beautifully.
The grapes used are sourced from the villages of Prissé, Sologny and Verzé which are located in the southern part of Mâconnais, close to Saint Veran and the Pouilly fuissé area.
The harvest is brought in to a schedule based on the progress of ripening in the plots. The juice is extracted slowly at low pressure by
Beautifully pure, floral nose. On the palate a racy, energetic feel with nuances of stone fruit, acacia, brioche and underlying minerality. Lovely purity and vitality run like a vein through the wine, which has a long, crisp, slightly nutty finish. Exemplary Blanc de Blancs and great apéritif style.
