This is classic and picture-perfect Chambolle with its elegant, fresh, complex and high-toned nose of very red berry and pinot aromas that introduce delicate and lacy middle weight flavors that possess good punch and minerality on the balanced, precise and lingering finish. A lovely wine of finesse.

Tasting Notes

Always the most mineral wine in the cellar, les Chatelots is right in the heart of the village next to Gruenchers and above Charmes. This wine combines an open, pleasing style with supple tannins but with the whiff of smoke and rocks from the soils. Concentrated and with dry mineral extract on the palate, this is intense and impressive and keeps on going well beyond the the certainty of the last drop.

Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut is concentrated in Chambolle Musigny and Morey St Denis and has developed a loyal following amongst serious Pinot lovers. Hervé Sigaut and his wife Anne took over the running of the estate in 1990. Many of their vineyards are still ploughed by horse and Hervé follows the lunar calendar for the activities in the vineyard and the cellar, adopting a minimal approach to winemaking. This dedicated husband and wife team have been quietly making exceptional wines for decades. See More
