Tasting Notes

Soft orchard fruits, white flowers and citrus peel create an attractive and comforting aroma alongside subtle mineral-inflected scents. The mousse is incredibly fine, giving a gentle, mouthfilling texture which holds the taut, pithy citrus and camomile flavours in check. There is a wonderful fleshy quality which is balanced by soft toasty notes and a remarkable freshness which lasts long onto the finish. Appealing, expressive and an absolute joy to drink, this is a remarkably fine sparkling wine that, quite simply, deserves to be opened at any given opportunity!

Few producers can claim a level of influence to almost identify with their appellation – one of those is Domaine Huet. This iconic estate has been one of the standard-bearers of Vouvray since 1928. A true pioneer, Gaston Huet was one of the first vignerons to adopt biodynamic practices and to focus on single-vineyard bottlings. Remaining true to the philosophy of the founders, Sarah Hwang and Jean-Bertrand Berthomé continue to craft superbly long-lived Chenin Blanc from their three vineyards.
