Tasting Notes

A lively, aromatic wine with crunchy blackberry fruits on the nose. Smoky, bramble characters with hints of leather and spice open up in the glass. The palate is medium weight with refreshing, juicy red berry and damson fruit with darker prune and damson characters in the background. The tannins are textured and smooth. Drink from 2015

Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut is concentrated in Chambolle Musigny and Morey St Denis and has developed a loyal following amongst serious Pinot lovers. Hervé Sigaut and his wife Anne took over the running of the estate in 1990. Many of their vineyards are still ploughed by horse and Hervé follows the lunar calendar for the activities in the vineyard and the cellar, adopting a minimal approach to winemaking.
