Tasting Notes

The Jarollières vineyard is situated right next to Volnay and has more in common with the elegant wines from this appellation than most Pommards. Made from eighty year old vines, this is an elegant wine with pure redcurrant and bramble fruit aromas which combine with notes of sweet smoke and hints of cedar. The palate is medium weight with bold tannins but with attractive, bright and elegant red berry fruits and an energetic freshness which gives tension and definition. It will be superb in a few years. Drink from 2016.
