Scores

Drink 2013-2020 Unnecessarily heavy bottle. Juicy raspberry fruit ? quite different from the dense Malbec norm, and refreshing therefore. At ?only? 14% this is mercifully drinkable too. (RH) 14% Score: 16.5 Points Team Jancis Robinson

Tasting Notes

An extremely elegant wine with an intense bouquet of dark cassis and plums with a rich, smooth palate of juicy, ripe blackberry and plum flavours balanced by velvety tannins and a refreshing finish. This wine is delicious now and will age well for a further decade. Drink 2015 ? 2024.

ProducerTintoNegro

A collaboration between two former Bodega Catena Zapata employees - American Jeff Mausbach and locally born viticultural expert Alejandro Sejanovich - TintoNegro is primarily a master of Malbec, grown in some of the best parcels of high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza, Argentina. Although the duo own two vineyards themselves, their handcrafted wines are produced at different wineries, chosen to suit the best expression of terroir and their hand-crafted approach to winemaking.
