Tasting Notes

A very attractive wine with dark plum and rich berry fruits on the nose. On the palate, sweet cherries with hints of rosemary and exotic spice are balanced by a smoky, mineral quality and smooth textures. A floral note on the finish adds complexity. A very elegant wine with excellent definition, it will be perfect from release but will age well for five years. Drink 2013 - 2018

A collaboration between two former Bodega Catena Zapata employees - American Jeff Mausbach and locally born viticultural expert Alejandro Sejanovich - TintoNegro is primarily a master of Malbec, grown in some of the best parcels of high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza, Argentina. Although the duo own two vineyards themselves, their handcrafted wines are produced at different wineries, chosen to suit the best expression of terroir and their hand-crafted approach to winemaking.
