Scores

The 2014 Chianti Classico offers striking purity of fruit and terrific overall balance, especially for the year. Sweet red cherry, plum, spice and lavender are pushed forward. This is an especially fruity, mid-weight vintage for the estate's Chianti Classico, not to mention a commendable effort for the vintage.  The expressive savory/saline finish only adds to the wine's considerable appeal.
90+ Points, Antonio Galloni

Tasting Notes

Arguably the finest expression of Chianti Classico we?ve ever tasted from the estate. This is a ripe yet elegant vintage with an attractive, fleshy concentration and sweet-scented fruit. This depth is lifted by crunchy cherry acidity; tell-tale Sangiovese spice and a streak of grippy minerality add layers of complexity to what is a very complete wine. Drinking very well now but will mature beautifully over the next 5 years.
