BLOCK A The 2014 Single Vineyard Chenin Blanc Block A has a very backward nose that demands some coaxing from the glass. With aeration it reveals subtle touches of honeysuckle and dried quince, but it will clearly needs further bottle age. The palate is more generous with a pleasing, saline entry to get the taste buds going, seguing into toffee apple and dried orange peel, nicely defined with a touch of lemongrass enliving the finish. Very fine. 91 Points BLOCK S2 The 2014 Single Vineyard Chenin Blanc Block S2 is generous and honeyed on the nose accompanied by tangerine and dried pineapple coming through. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, notes of lemon peel, orange zest and stem ginger, leading to a lively and quite potent finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is excellent and will likely reward cellaring. 92 Points BLOCK W The 2014 Single Vineyard Chenin Blanc Block W has a complex bouquet, more minerally than the Block S2, with scents of dried honey, jasmine, a touch of frangipane and pressed flowers that are nicely defined. The palate is crisp on the entry with freshly squeezed lime on the entry, racy acidity, a gently build in the mouth towards what is quite a spicy and long finish. What is shares with the Block S2 is touch of lemongrass on the aftertaste. Very fine indeed. 92 Points
