Tasting Notes

As with the dry wines Le Mont seems a little more open and opulent than the Clos du Bourg. The nose has more expression and lift with delicate ginger notes and riper pear and quince. The palate is round and textured with a palpable sweetness but great grip and drive. Mineral and precise this is a fantastic example of what Huet can produce from this top terroir. A layered and very complex Vouvray in 2014, quantities were small from Le Mont but this is a top Demi-Sec.

TASTING NOTES

Thrilling and bright in its nervy youthfulness; green apple is to the fore on this elegantly scented Moelleux – the apogee of the Huet style. This bright, crunchy fruit is accompanied by notes of white flowers and subtle, soft sweet lemon meringue undertones. The palate has a chalky, sweet density but has that hallmark lightness of touch and vein of...

TASTING NOTES

A sublime nectar, it is the profound depth and intensity rather than the obvious sweetness of Cuvée Constance that makes it most captivating. The texture is full and complete; a sinewy, smoky quality combines with richness from the botrytis, playing perfect harmony to effortless, crisp, spiced citrus notes. The lacy sweetness is replete with razor-like acidity, exquisitely pure concentration and...

An alluring yellow amber hue hints at the delights that this wine has to offer. Before the glass even approaches one’s nose, a swathe of grapefruit pith and pure, clean honey introduce themselves. Nuanced layers emerge with aeration including ripe peach, spun sugar, nectarine, juicy pear and even a hint of mango. This is a wine that builds slowly but...
