"Blending Fournaux, Talmettes and Marconnets, Bize's 2021 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru offers up aromas of raspberries, plums, sweet spices, petals and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, it's concentrated and indeed rather taut and introverted right now, but I suspect it will flesh out by the time of bottling." 90-93, William Kelley, Wine Advocate

"Pale lemon colour. The nose has the softer style of a wine without sulphur, which it will get in due course. A fine concentration of deep white fruit, a light oaking, very well integrated acidity and very good length. Extremely promising." 90-92 points, Jasper Morris

"Mid pink to crimson. The bouquet is deliciously perfumed, the floral side of red berry fruit, with some raspberries showing through on the palate behind. Very pure, crisp acidity, light white pepper, now some cherry blossom. Very lovely in a light and fine style, tip-top for a village Savigny." 90-93 points, Jasper Morris

"More in the clay soils, made from 75 year old vines on average. An intense purple, with heavier raspberry fruit. More backward than Symphonie, with an extra layer of fruit on the bones, also low acidity, so it should be possible to enjoy the 2022 Mes Favorites early. Possible gamey note to finish. Drink from 2027-2032." Jasper Morris

"Mid crimson purple. Immediately there is a sense of much great depth and concentration here compared to the village wine. Raspberry seedless, pushes down to a much greater depth than the straight Fixin, and fills the mouth. An excellent aftertaste." 90-92, Jasper Morris
