Our PortfolioTuscany

Tuscany, along with Piedmont, is the foundation upon which Italy’s wine reputation has been built. In total, there are 29 wines with DOC status produced in the region. It is also home to 7 of Italy’s DOCG areas, and many premium non-classified wines.

Chianti accounts for a large part of the region with the most prestigious DOCG Chianti Classico wines coming from the beautiful central hills, which provide a tempering effect on the summertime heat, many vineyards are planted on the highest slopes. The principal grape variety is Sangiovese, alongside other indigenous and international varietals.

Bottle shot of 2019 Morellino di Scansano Riserva
Tasting Notes

"Lovely orange-peel character gives energy and brightness to this wine. Lots of cherries and blackberries. Medium to full body with plenty of crunchy fruit and a long, consistent finish. Nicely smoky at the end, in a subtle way. Drink or hold." 94, James Suckling "There's summer fruits pudding sweetness balanced with raisined prune-like characters; grippy earthy tannins in balance with...

Bottle shot of 2020 Brunello di Montalcino
Tasting Notes

" Elisa Sesti recalls that when temperatures started to rise after the abundant rains of June, the vines burst into growth. That generosity and exuberance is echoed in the scents brimming in her Brunello. Heather, lavender, mint – even a trace of helichrysum – all swell from the glass. Less forthcoming on the palate for now, it is nonetheless replete...

Bottle shot of 2019 Rosso di Montalcino
Tasting Notes

"The 2019 Rosso di Montalcino is dreamy, wafting up with dusty rose, crushed cherries and sage. This flows across the palate with ease, energetic and lifted with a solid core of ripe wild berry fruits that slowly drench the palate in youthful tension. A coating of fine-grained tannins remains offset by a bump of residual acidity, tapering off spicy and...

Bottle shot of 2021 Rosso di Montalcino
Tasting Notes

"The 2021 Rosso di Montalcino lifts from the glass with a pretty blend of cedary spices, dried cherries and sage hints. This is cool-toned and racy in feel, with crisp red berry fruits and exotic spice that flourish toward the close. It leaves a coating of fine tannins and a pleasantly chewy sensation while tapering off with ample length and...

Bottle shot of 2018 Camartina
Tasting Notes

" The organic 2018 Camartina is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Sangiovese. A consistent performer vintage after vintage, this Tuscan blend shows an exotic quality, with barbecue spice or steak sauce that frame a core of supple dark fruit. But the aromas don't stop there. It unfolds to show balsam herb, blue flower and grilled rosemary. The wine is packaged...

Bottle shot of 2020 Boggina Classico Riserva
Tasting Notes

"The 2020 Sangiovese Riserva Vigna Boggina is another stellar wine in this range from Luca Sanjust. Deep, rich and explosive, the 2020 possesses remarkable intensity from start to finish. It is more a wine of place than a truly varietal Sangiovese, but does that matter? The Riserva spends 16-18 months in wood, mostly cask with some medium-sized barrels as well....

Bottle shot of 2022 Batàr
Tasting Notes

"The 2022 Batàr is airy, fresh and nuanced. Hints of tangerine oil, mint, lemon peel, almond and dried flowers are all nicely lifted in this aromatic, refreshing white. The style continues to move in the direction of energy and vibrancy. These days, there's minimal lees-stirring and just a hint of new oak, a response to changing climate conditions and stylistic...

Bottle shot of 2022 Saffredi
Tasting Notes

"This is a young wine with terrific depth and layers of fruit. It’s full-bodied with notes of eucalyptus, lavender and sage and hints of matchsticks and oranges. It’s linear and tight at the end, with an energetic finish. Very Saffredi in nature." 99, James Suckling

Bottle shot of 2022 Petrolo Galatrona
Tasting Notes

"The floral aromas are spellbinding, with aromas of violets, lilacs, orange peel, raspberries, rose petals, and some oranges. It’s medium- to full-bodied with crunchy and open-grain tannins that are creamy and caressing. It’s endless in the finish. Crunchy and energetic. A wine that is thoughtful and gives you such great pleasure. Such purity. It’s like eating perfectly ripened grape must....

Bottle shot of 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Phenomena Riserva
Tasting Notes

"Appropriately reticent, Sesti’s Riserva gradually reveals the profusion of Mediterranean flora that will blossom with time. Hints of sage and heather intertwine with tangy sundried cherry. The tannins are the texture of fine sand but there are masses of them. It manages to pull off amplitude and density with an unlikely ethereal weightlessness, before trailing off leisurely with a savoury...
