Ruby-red. Very dark aromas of medicinal black cherry and licorice. Supple and moderately sweet but a bit youthfully bound-up. Flavors of black cherry, dark chocolate and licorice are currently shortened by the wine's building tannins. Does it have enough mid-palate stuffing? 88-90 points Stephen Tanzer

Tasting Notes

Ripe blackberry nose - very aromatic. Full, strong entry with grainy dissolved tannins and a melée of red and black fruits. Really quite brambly in nature with broad middle palate weight and mineral touches. Zippy, lively, finely crafted and well integrated and wonderful length - very good potential. 17.5 points
