Deep garnet colored with a hint of purple in the rim, the 2006 Eric Stevens Purbrick Shiraz presents fragrant evolving fruit aromas of dried mulberries, figs and blackberry compote over baking spices, menthol and aniseed. There's plenty of mouth-filling berry fruit on the palate supported by firm, chewy tannins and crisp acid, finishing long and spicy. Drink this one now to 2019+. Tasting Notes

The Shiraz grapes for this ESP 'reserve cuvee' were sourced mainly from vines planted on the Estate during the 1930s. Rich, dark fruit scents with a mix of spice leap from the glass. Powerful and rich black fruit flavours on the palate with excellent depth of fruit, layered complexity with notes of spice, pepper and licorice. The overall balance is rich yet still elegant, with silky tannins and a long, lingering taste of blackberries that provide a satisfying finish.
