"A very rich Blanc de Blancs champagne that doesn’t taste bone-dry, thanks to the stunning harmony. Tons of dried pear and apple character is married to a wonderfully creamy and silky palate, the chalky minerality building beautifully at the long, refined finish. A cuvée based on wines from the Grand Cru villages of Chouilly (one third), Cramant (one third) and Oger (10%), plus the 1er Cru villages of Cuis (20%) and Vertus (2%). Disgorged in February, 2021. Drink now."

"The 2008 vintage is one of the best in the last two decades. The wine is open and complex, and after 10 years of ageing on its lees, it has a mature character of truffle and sweet spice, along with a touch of delicate brioche and ginger biscuit. The palate is precise and long, with its refined, saline, and mineral texture confirming the ‘Gimonesque’ winemaking style. This is an idiosyncratic, gastronomic and chic Champagne at its best."

Overseeing 28 hectares of vineyards planted exclusively with Chardonnay, Didier and Olivier Gimonnet, together with their children, continue the family tradition of crafting superb Blanc de Blancs. The house has mastered the grape like no other, producing a non-vintage Brut of remarkable purity and a range of distinctive vintage Blanc de Blancs that showcase both the variety and the exceptional terroir. Even their Rosé remains an ode to Chardonnay, which makes up 93% of the blend. Their ethereal, elegant, and exceptionally long-lived Champagnes are essential for any lover of the style.
