Bordeaux blend, Drinking 2020-2040+

Tasting Notes

Beautiful, entrancing red fruits on the nose, very classic, pure and natural with no false notes whatsoever. On the palate, the textures are of cashmere and the movement is dynamic and vertical, a trick that few wines can pull off anywhere, let alone in Bordeaux. The finish resonates for minutes with a lasting minerality and a warm glow for the taster. Magical. 19.5 points 2019-2030+ 55CF:45M 19.5

Reviews & Scores

Decanter: Amazingly focused wine. Long, persistent with extremely fine, filigree tannins. Beautiful texture. Incredible density of fruit behind. Freshness on the palate (55% Cabernet Franc). Absolute harmony. Rivals the outstanding 2005. Drink 2018-2050. 19.5

74% Sauvignon Blanc, 26% Sémillon. Barrel sample. Fragrant and pure with pin-point precision. All in length and line. Floral, citrus aromas. Delicious fruit but again controlled, the finish pebble-sucking and saline. Atypical white Bordeaux. Could be burgundy – Puligny? JR
