Tasting Notes

Wonderfully alluring scents immediately engage the taster. Deep, dense and brooding initially with notes of pine, earth, menthol, clove, spice and rich dark fruits, all depicted in fantastic detail. On the palate, this fills the mouth but its energy keeps it moving, showing finely granulated tannins, wonderful depth and a great mineral reserve, waiting in the wings. On the finish, the balance is unquestionable, with poise, distinction and class in abundance. It doesn?t get much better than this, anywhere. 19 points 2019-2030+ 65CS:29M:5CF:1PV 19

Reviews & Scores

Decanter: Black red, smoky cassis nose with fine Cabernet spice, quite restrained yet full of power, a really precise and true vineyard wine, superb middle sweetness, a grandly classic wine. Drink 2019-45. 19

Those tannins carry the beautifully concentrated fruit to a long, long finish. Effortless and perfectly...

TASTING NOTES

"Brooding yet sensuous, Gravelly Meadow reveals earthy, savoury, meaty notes the nose, along with blackcurrants, blueberries and mulberries. There are subtle hints of herbs, tobacco and cedarwood. Once again, the tannic structure is impeccable and perfectly integrated. This says more about the superb quality of the fruit than it does about the 100% new oak. Gravelly Meadow is Diamond Creek’s...
