Tasting Notes

One of our consistently favourite Brunello and unsurprisingly they've achieved great things in 2010. A smoky, intense nose leads on to an elegant yet textured palate. This is light on its feet considering the warmth some Brunello 2010s exhibit, a testament to the special terroir and altitude of Castello di Argiano. Chewy red fruit and a leathery savouriness underpin this still tight but well balanced and poised Brunello. Delicious but will definitely benefit from a few years in the cellar.

Reviews & Scores

Developed-looking mid ruby with orange rim. A little stalky and closed on the nose and bags of sweet strawberry fruit on the palate, perfectly balanced by racy acidity and chewy tannins. Fantastic tactile tannic finish with cherry and orange-skin notes. Drink 2015-2030.
