This is phenomenal white with an iodine and salty character with dried lemon and papaya with hints of oyster shell. Layered and intense. This is amazing. Full and intense. It goes on for minutes. Can't believe it. Structure of a red wine. This has a little more Sauvignon Blanc from new plantings in the best parcels in the blend than in the past. James Suckling

A candidate for THE wine of the vintage! This has one of the impeccably pure and crystal clear noses I have ever encountered. It is a master class in the balance of intensity and a delicate touch with aromas of iced-citrus fruits in perfect harmony with perfectly pitched toasty, smoky oak. The final notes of lees (just a hint) and minerality linger on this nose tingling myriad of aromas. On the palate the richness, complexity and density is just stunning and the first wave a citrus fruit bursts across the tongue. The mile-long finish evolves into a delicious stoney, smoky character. Yet again it is a question of the masterful balance of texture and searing acidity that indicates a very long life-span.
