This is quite wonderful with a beautiful balance of ultra-fine tannins and pretty fruits from currant to blueberries. Full-bodied. Delicious to taste. Deft winemaking here James Suckling

Tasting Notes

A very elegant, rich wine with enticing red cherry, cassis and plum aromas with notes of exotic spice and mocha coffee. The fruit on the palate is ripe, succulent and refreshing with layers of deep blackcurrant and cassis fruit and complex notes of tobacco and exotic spices. A lively, refreshing acidity and beautifully textured tannins blend seamlessly with the deep concentrated flavours. This wine will age magnificently over the next 2n/a years. Drink 2n/a17 ? 2n/a32

ProducerChâteau Lynch Bages

Bought by Jean Charles Cazes on the eve of the second world war, at the same time as he purchased Ormes de Pez, Chateau Lynch Bages has had an interesting history. The estate has been run by the new generation Sylvie Cazes Regimbeau and Jean Charles Cazes since 2006.  A team look after the daily management of the vineyard and sustainable, environmentally-friendly policies are followed. In January 2010 Jean Michel Cazes received the 'Pionnier de l'Œnotourisme' prize, in recognition of the ongoing work to support the tourist trade and its positive impact on French wine-growing regions.
