Scores

Very lively white with wonderful pineapple, honey and lemons on the nose and palate. Great finish with such intensity. Mineral, white pepper, and tropical fruit. Complex aftertaste of spices, pie crust, and lemon meringue. Fab. 66% Sauvignon Blanc, 12% Semillon, and 22% Muscadelle. Production about 1,500 cases, or so. James Suckling

Tasting Notes

Wonderfully refreshing and persistent with great length and depth. Lively lemon and lime aromas with elegant floral notes in the background are followed by an abundance of limes and tropical citrus fruit on the palate. On the finish, a mineral character intermingled with smoky, spicy notes gives further definition and complexity. This gorgeous wine is one of the finest whites of the vintage and while it will be delicious young it will also age well over the next 5 to 1n/a years. Drink 2n/a13 - 2n/a19.

ProducerChâteau Lynch Bages

Bought by Jean Charles Cazes on the eve of the second world war, at the same time as he purchased Ormes de Pez, Chateau Lynch Bages has had an interesting history. The estate has been run by the new generation Sylvie Cazes Regimbeau and Jean Charles Cazes since 2006.  A team look after the daily management of the vineyard and sustainable, environmentally-friendly policies are followed. In January 2010 Jean Michel Cazes received the 'Pionnier de l'Œnotourisme' prize, in recognition of the ongoing work to support the tourist trade and its positive impact on French wine-growing regions.
