Tasting Notes

What an intense nose, this is wonderful! The aromas here are plentiful, direct and pure, lots of blackcurrant, plum and a complex sprinkling of spice, liquorice and pepper as well as a touch of smoke. The palate is smooth and silky, oodles of cassis and dark forest fruits as well as more delicate flavours of cinnamon, nutmeg and liquorice. The minerality here is sublime, it is particularly dominant on the finish and lifts the wine into another league. This is a very fresh, vibrant, complex wine that is an absolute pleasure.
