Bright red. Elements of torrefaction camouflage the bright red berry and flint aromas. Then much brighter and fruitier in the mouth; delicious red berry and cherry flavors are rich and ripe but lifted by vibrant acidity. The finish is long and savory. This wine has sneaky concentration and complexity, and the oak is much less evident in the mouth than on the nose. Aged in used barriques for 20 months. I think it has the potential to become a truly outstanding wine with a little more bottle age.
