"90 dì', meaning 90 days, is the long-macerated Barolo Riserva produced only in the best vintages from talented winegrower Giacomo Fenocchio in Monforte, a key producer of Bussia. This Riserva benefits from the warm 2015 vintage, expressing a graceful floral character with slightly buttery and minty notes over watermelon fruit. The pulpy fruit and the tannins on the finish are quite raw and austere, but otherwise this is ripe and crunchy with an amazing fruit freshness that gives it ageing potential."
95 points, Aldo Fiordelli, Decanter.

"After all these releases from 2017, it's nice to travel a few more years back in time. The Giacomo Fenocchio 2015 Barolo Riserva Bussia 90 dì reveals a bright ruby color with good vitality and energy. Aromas of dried cherry, cassis and sweet plum lift from the bouquet, towing along delicate tones of crushed stone and dried licorice root. It feels like the wine could give more of itself, but like so many, it's probably just a question of giving it more time to age. This was a release of approximately 4,000 bottles."
92 points, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate

ProducerGiacomo Fenocchio

When Claudio Fenocchio succeeded his father Giacomo at the helm of the family business in 1989, the debate between modernist and traditionalists in Barolo was at its most acute. He decided to opt for a third approach, something we can call radical traditionalism. His wines were celebrated for being impressively approachable in youth while getting even better with age. Claudio represents the 5th generation of the Fenocchio family crafting elegant, true Barolos that capture the soul of his vineyards. Far from resting on his laurels though, he continues to push boundaries of quality and innovation while respecting his family legacy.
