Gorgeously fragrant, so Burgundy, so Beaune. Deeply fruited on the palate and very fine tannic texture. As precise as his pouring. Long, spicy finish. Good Value.

A notably ripe but agreeably fresh nose speaks of cassis, violet and plum. There is outstanding richness to the impressively concentrated and generous flavors that are shaped by a moderately firm tannic spine that belies just a hint of rusticity. Note that this mouth coating effort should drink well young. It is also very Champ Pimont in character which is to say that it's not a wine of finesse but it is notably rich and ripe.

“A darker, more structured Barolo than his sibling, Prapo’ is an incredibly pure expression of the terroir of Serralunga. Precise notes of red and black berries, forest floor and dark spices are framed by tight woven tannins and lively freshness. An exciting release that has the potential to be enjoyed for the next 10 years.” Armit Winesmore
