DrinkingThe first vintage of this wine, just under 20% new oak. This is a good example of Meursault with a round bouquet containing both citrus and oyster shell. In the mouth a good balance of fruit and minerality. Very closed, but good volume on the palate, give this 2 years to open and it will be a delight. Drink from 2020.

Domaine de Montille is one of Burgundy’s greatest estates. The wines are made for ageing but in recent years, since Hubert’s son Etienne has taken over, the Domaine has moved towards expressing greater aromatic potential in the wines. The Domaine has moved progressively towards organic and now biodynamic methods working in closer harmony with nature. The wines still benefit from ageing and develop an abundance of complexity as they mature.
