Case of 6 x 75cl £443.28
This vineyard has less iron than most of Pommard, and is 50% down in volume from 2015. The nose shows red fruit with spicy notes. The flavours are of bright red fruit and are very focussed on the palate. Balanced with fine tannins and good acidity, this is more delicate than typical Pommard and should drink from 2020.
“A darker, more structured Barolo than his sibling, Prapo’ is an incredibly pure expression of the terroir of Serralunga. Precise notes of red and black berries, forest floor and dark spices are framed by tight woven tannins and lively freshness. An exciting release that has the potential to be enjoyed for the next 10 years.” Armit Winesmore
