This vineyard has less iron than most of Pommard, and is 50% down in volume from 2015. The nose shows red fruit with spicy notes. The flavours are of bright red fruit and are very focussed on the palate. Balanced with fine tannins and good acidity, this is more delicate than typical Pommard and should drink from 2020.
Le Difese offers a taste of the estate behind Sassicaia immediately on release. The name is a local term for the tusks of a wild boar.
