The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Village, a quarter of which comes from the Premier Cru Les Chatelot, has a tightly wound blackberry, briar and raspberry bouquet displaying fine mineralité. The palate is medium-bodied and quite linear, with grippy, slightly chalky tannin and a touch of spice toward the finish. There is good tension here, although I would like a tad more length.

Utterly seductive on the nose but a delicate scent not a heavy perfume of sweet red fruit. Notable freshness here and a lightness of touch on the palate. Weightless and subtle. Surprisingly long.
