"Sour cherries, blueberry, dark cherries, herbs and dried flowers on the nose. It’s medium- to full-bodied with firm, silky tannins. Supple and smooth on the palate with a round and creamy character. Layered and balanced. A blend of syrah and grenache. From biodynamically grown grapes. Demeter. Drink or hold."
92 points, James Suckling
"Inky purple in the glass, boasting notes of ripe cherries, blueberries, and blackcurrants. A full-bodied richness, layered with silky tannins and a smooth finish. Mellow, sleek, and juicy. "Château Maris is a great place to start for readers looking to explore the Languedoc. These wines are all beautifully made and have tons of character, and in most cases, represent rock solid values." Jeb Dunnuck, The Wine Advocate

ProducerChâteau Maris

Château Maris has been named “one of the five most environmentally-friendly wineries in the world” by WineSpectator and a “Sustainability hero” by Jancis Robinson MW.  It was the first European vineyard to receive the B Corporation certification, a label recognized by the UN and European Commission – a certification held by just 27 wineries worldwide today. Maris boasts a world-first carbon-negative winery constructed from hemp bricks, while the vineyards are hand-harvested and tilled by a horse-drawn plough. Sales of their wine support local wildlife and biodiversity initiatives such as L’Aspas and La Masion de L’Abeille, and they even made headlines for shipping wine to the USA by sailboat!
