Tasting Notes

Straw yellow colour with green and golden reflections. The nose is dominated by Mediterranean scrub scents, and linden, hawthorn notes. Also hints of citrus fruits and yellow pulp fruit. On the palate it is full mineral and fresh, with a pleasant persistence. Excellent to accompany dishes based on vegetables, fish and shellfish.

"Deep straw yellow. The Cilento version of Fiano always shows more fruit concentration than the Avellino one. Rich savoury white and yellow fruit with top notes of lemon peel. Viscous lemon, melon and mandarin. A perfect squeeze of ripe lemony acidity on the finish. Just mid length but nevertheless a great effort and quite delicious."
16.5 Points, Walter Speller, Jancis Robinson

ProducerViticoltori De Conciliis

Viticoltori de Conciliis is an artisanal family-owned winery based in Campania, representing the best of contemporary winemaking in southern Italy, with mineral, complex Fiano and rich, layered Aglianco. The winery was formed in 1996, when siblings Luigi, Bruno, and Paola convinced their father Alessandro to stop selling their grapes and make their own wine. Their 15 hectares of vineyards are set in rugged coastal foothills with soils rich in marine minerals and fossils, the altitude and sea breezes balancing out the Mediterranean heat. The family are pioneers of sustainable viticulture in Campania: they farm organically, have been energy self-sufficient with solar panels since 2007, and have always have paid all employees a living wage and guaranteed year-round employment.
