Classic example of how the art of the blend is used to make rosé champers. They mix 25% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 40% Pinot Meunier to create this open-knit, cherry-infused sparkler. It is dry, rich, yet gentle, with an underlying fruitiness on the long finish. My note: Most people don’t realize that rosé bubbly is often more difficult to make than “regular” bubbly and often has more complex, richer, deeper flavors and is bone-dry. (Too much of a hang-over from our sweet pink fizz days.) It’s also lovely to look at in the glass.
92 Points, Natalie McLean

Pale orange. Dark berries, rhubarb, dried rose and toasty lees on the fragrant nose. Supple and expansive on the palate, offering intense black raspberry and blood orange flavors plus a hint of anise. A smoky nuance builds with air and carries through a long, penetrating finish. There's good depth here, which will allow this Champagne to pair smoothly with rich, full-flavored food.

Tasting Notes

Pale pink in colour with citrus and raspberry aromas, leading to a delicate palate with a fine mousse and flavours of red fruits, grapefruit and blackberries. A very crisp and refreshing Rosé champagne.

ProducerBeaumont des Crayères

In 1955, a group of wine growers from the village of Mardeuil joined forces to set up a champagne house, which was named Beaumont des Crayères after one of the finest hillsides in the village. Three quarters of their 86 hectare estate is located on the hillsides of Épernay with soils rich in chalk. Mardeuil is widely recognised as one of the best regions for cultivating Pinot Meunier with a share of 60% of their vineyards given over to this variety. The remaining 40% is divided with 25% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir plantings.
