We are delighted to announce that we are now launching Direct Debit as a new method of payment alongside Bank transfers and credit / debit cards. We have partnered with GoCardless, a leading direct debit provider, to provide an online tool for you to make regular payments which are easy and hassle-free but also secure. As a Direct Debit customer you will only need to set up a payment once, via an online form, and unless you change your bank account you won’t need to worry about updating your payment details again. You will also have certainty about the amount you are paying and when it will come out of your Bank account.
Key benefits of Direct Debit:
- VISIBILITY: GoCardless will notify you that a payment is coming out in advance allowing you to raise any issues with our Accounts team before payment is taken.
- SECURITY: Your payments are protected under the Direct Debit Guarantee meaning that you have the right to cancel and receive a full refund for any payment taken in error.
- CONTROL: You can cancel the direct debit at any time via your online banking.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be sending you a payment authorisation email with a link asking you to complete a Direct Debit mandate. This gives us permission to take funds from your bank account for wines and services purchased. We hope that you will choose to sign up for Direct Debit which will provide a smoother service for you, particularly if you store your wine with us and have regular invoices. However, if you do not wish to sign up, then of course you can continue paying via another payment method.
