Beaucastel is one of the finest estates in Châteauneuf and was one of the first to practice organic viticulture. It is also one of the few estates to vinify all thirteen grape varieties permitted and uses a relatively high proportion of Mourvèdre in the blend. Brothers Jean-Pierre and Francois Perrin run the estate with their four sons, Mathieu, Pierre, Thomas and Marc who are increasingly taking charge. The wines are consistently some of the finest in the appellation with plenty of ageing potential.
