The top dry cuvée for many Huet fans from the Clos next to Vouvray's cemetery. It exhibits a very pure and lightly perfumed apple and pear aroma. The palate has a saline backbone which adds tension and focus to a seriously classy wine. There is an almost electrical current running through it as it crackles with minerals. The finish is impressive and fragrant with a fine bergamot essence.
Something a tiny bit oxidative on the nose, giving a bruised apple sort of character, but then wonderfully pronounced stone fruit comes through on the palate, with a touch of honey and honeysuckle. Lip-smacking acidity is well balanced with the fleshy body. 13%. Drink 2017-2025

Yellow with green hues; clean and bright. Outstandingly intense aromas, with hints of stone fruit (peaches), white fruit (pears and ripe apples) and quince, in addition to a remarkable lemon leaf citrus background. A flavoursome mouth is accompanied by an enjoyable breadth and freshness, together with a very well-integrated acidity. Very persistent, fruit-forward finish. Perfect to enjoy with any appetiser....more
