Tasting Notes

Lots of sweet stone fruit aromas with notes marmalade and a hint of brioche. Complex flavours of ripe lemon and lime with subtle, spicy cooking apple characters. Quite delicate in style and well defined with an attractive minerality on the finish which gives additional complexity. Drink 2018 -2030

Reviews & Scores

Denis Dubourdieu¿s Barsac cru has an attractive bouquet with subtle notes of cooking apple, pear and lime-flower, all with very fine delineation. The palate displays good weight and a fine thread of acidity, lending tension and poise that leads to a taut finish, showing good botrytis levels for the vintage. With its trademark minerality in place, this Doisy-Daene comes highly recommended.

Brilliant, intense, rich and unctuous, this combines undoubted class with a little flamboyance too. This has you could possibly want from a top Sauternes. Chapeau to Lur-Saluces. Drink 2015-2030+. 18.5
