Tasting Notes

An attractive, deeply flavoured wine from old vines grown on rocky soils which gives it an appealing smoky, mineral quality. Complex aromas with redcurrant and sweet forest fruit characters open out to reveal darker cherry, bramble and dried herb fruit notes. The palate is firm and quite grippy on the finish which balances complex, elegant fruit flavours and a hint of spice and pepper. This wine has excellent ageing potential and deserves a few years in bottle before drinking. Drink from 2017.

On the palate, smooth textures and bright red berry fruits are balanced by a refined mineral character which leads to a long and refreshing finish. Beautifully defined and supple, and almost Burgundian in style, this wine will age well...
