There is intensity here and the palate reveals impressive fruit concentration, a fleshy full-bodied structure and a harmonious integration of fruit and tannins. Red plum and nuanced cherry is laced with sweet dark cassis. The crunchy tannins are a very welcome addition to this party. The wine is very dark, and you can sense an underlying power, yet this is already a distinguished wine with great potential. It will reward those with patience. Score: 18
