Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard, in Chassagne-Montrachet, was established in 1985 when Richard Fontaine married Laurence Gagnard. Céline Fontaine began working with her father in 2007 and now manages the estate. The wines are extremely elegant, complex, and precise. The domaine covers 12 hectares of vineyards across 22 appellations, many of which are among the most sought-after in Burgundy.
