"Dark purple. More backward, dense fruit, less explosive than the Bonnes Mares, but at least as deep. Just short of a chocolate note but super ripe raspberry nonetheless. Does it quite have the finesse? Maybe. The Clos de Bèze certainly has the energy and the backbone which allows for a fresher finish. Ripe through and through." 94-96, Jasper Morris
